I was thinking the same thing sadly while watching the trailer. Going from nice anime cutscenes to gross pixelated blocky characters is not pleasant.

I was never fond of most 3D on the DS. Non-celshaded DS 3D is not my cup of tea. It's a turn of to Crystal Chronicles and and Final Fantasy on there. Phantom Hourglass and GTA Chinatown Wars have nicer looking 3D visuals, probably because of the style.

Though the game does interest me. I've been holding out hope for an Arcadia sequel for years. There were rumors of one coming to Wii always cropping up between 2004 and 2008. Some day. Maybe if Sega's core games start to sell well on Wii (like Conduit) they will consider bringing that series back. The Gamecube one did well enough that they eventually reissued it. So maybe they are open to a Wii one.

This game looks awesome. I kind of really want it.
