This is such a cool idea. Why be so open about it being a game? Market it like Ouija Boards where no one really knows for sure if it's just a game or not. Ha ha!

I'm picturing people wandering around a public place with this and showing people the ghosts. Video cameras are a must.
I'll do a youTube series.

Does this game make anyone who doesn't have a DSi want to go and get one? Just wondering. I know it's probably too soon to tell, but it seems like this *could* be a system seller. Fairly unknown developer though...

Yes. If this game turns out very well I would want to get one for it.

Not this game per say, because knowing its a port of a cell phone game keeps me from thinking "killer app" but if someone were to expand on the idea, then yes i'd be sold.

Dude! That trailer was great. At the end when the other, more menacing ghost appeared behind you in the rear camera.
It looks like even though it is a cell-phone game port that it is being optomized and enhanced for the DSi.
If these types of games become common on the DSi then I am getting one in the near future. This could sell the DSi to me. I just need promise of more.

Some updates from the developer: >Also being made for mobile phones but DSi is lead platform. >Planned to be released in early 2010. >Currently taking requests for what type of ghosts will be in the game. >Price-point unclear because they are looking into both cart and D/L distribution.
They are on Twitter as ghostwire (https://twitter.com/ghostwiregame)and also have a FaceBook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ghostwire/38717597626). UncleBob already mentioned their blog (http://www.ghostwiregame.com/) earlier.
It also sounds like Hudson will be publishing if I understand their blurbs on Twitter right.
Quote
Saw 2day that Hudson officially announced their ride on the ghost train. Bring it on I say.
Though it could be a reference to Hudson's recent announcement regarding their own horror game.

I'm really looking forward to this. I'll be sad if it's a digital download, but I'll still get it.
Ideas for ghosts? Does the creepy clown from IT count? ;)

This looks really good. I hope it's a cart and has some dlc instead.

I'm the opposite--I'm hoping for a downloadable title. I just don't see people purchasing this game on a cartridge unless it's in the bargain bin. I don't think most people will be willing to spend the money on such a risky title.
Plus, if it's downloadable, I can buy it for 25 cents on the dollar. w00t.

Yeah, Pepsi points are awesome. I'm stocking up for future RetroActives.

With the iPhone OS 3.1, they're enabling developer access to the video camera... so maybe it'll pop up on iPhone after that hits in September?

They are making a mobile version. So it is feasible to expand to iPhone.
I badgered the devs for any new screens of the DS game but haven't gotten a response yet.

From Twitter: @ghostwiregame: Important (and cool) tweet to all! ADG has signed a publisher for Ghostwire! This means serious dev is in the doings! More info soon. Thx.
I asked if there was any kind of estimate on a release date...
"nuttin official yet, but as mentioned before, 1st 1/2 of 2K10 is not a stretch"
