Penguin United has announced the Crossfire Remote Pistol, the first Gun controller that  builds a Wii Remote into its design. Hoping to alleviate the button placement and Wii Remote integration issues found in other controllers, the Crossfire Remote Pistol re-positions the A and B buttons and the D-pad for better and more comfortable control.

The Crossfire Remote Pistol will be shown next month at E3.

the good thing about the shells is when you play a none gun game you can take it off. I can't imagine how awkward it will be to play a none gun game using this thing.

This all sounds fine and dandy, but I'm curious about the cost.  It just doesn't seem like there's a dramatic increase in playability when the Perfect Shot works just fine for the lightgun games we already have on the market, and that's only $15.

I tried to find some photos of this thing but came up empty.  I'd like to have a look at its layout.  It seems pretty niche to me.

With the growing number of rail shooters on Wii I'm not so sure this is a niché controller.

The last time I saw the Perfect Shot it was $10.

It may have dropped price since I purchased one, but that only further reinforces what I was saying.

Also, you can use the A button on this, so it could be used to play most Wii games, like real first-person shooters.

Also I keep reading part of the title of this as "Penguins Unlimited" and I get excited because I think it's talking about Futurama.

Because rail shooters are the only games that anybody could possibly want to use a Wii gun for.
