I really thought/hoped that Nintendo would put out limited edition NES/SNES/N64 Wii controllers for those who wanted to splurge.
Taking a look at the link in the first post, it looks like a wired adapter which makes me wonder if it is just mimicking a Gamecube Controller. If so, I hope they've put some thought into how to get the buttons mapped correctly.

I like this a lot. I keep my controllers in good condition so I have tons of spares to dedicate to this. Though it would be nice if Nintendo released something first party for those that want a more authentic experience but don't have the original controllers in good condition.

not that i advocate gamestop, but the two near me have n64 controllers there. you can also try ebay, but it is harder to see how well the controler is from a picture.

I'd maybe use it for Sin and Punishment, but the Wiimote and Classic Controller work fine for all other systems.

Regarding Nintendo 64 controllers, if you apply some ceramic grease to the analogue stick, it will practically guarantee that it will never wear out. Unfortunately the sticks can't be repaired, so if you don't already have one in good condition then I'd recommend tracking one down.
There are a lot of third-party N64 controllers out there, but most aren't even half as good as the official controller for a host of reasons.

You don't need to have technical skill to replace an N64 controller's analogue stick or grease one up; the proof is that I, myself, am able to do it. If you know how to use a screwdriver and not sneeze on the circuit board, then you can do it. It's easy.

I used to play the Google Name Game with friends back in the day where we'd find the craziest headlines our names were in. I apparently was arrested once for getting high on kool-aid and another time for dancing too crazy in front of women. We got some good laughs out of it.
Back on topic, does anyone own one of these? I'd like to know if there is any lag on button input. I know some of these converter things lag from button push to when the system detects it and it would be no good for a lot of games if it has lag.

I know I've definitely seen adaptors like this for Genesis controllers. A quick search of my old bookmarks found this one (http://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/genesis_to_wii/index.php?category=) which also does Master System and Atari controllers.
