I have been obsessing over this game for months. I still pray to Xel'lotath before writing every exam, and there are runes and pentagrams drawn all over my notes from this last year. I have numerous Eternal Darkness trailers and MP3s on my hard drive collected during my obsessive moments. I even have artwork created when I was still enamored with this game. It's been a long hard time without this game.
But this game is even better than I remember it, and I remember it as a perfect 10. Being seperated from this game for 8 months... it's like meeting your girlfriend after she left on a trip without you for a long time. She's more beautiful than ever, and you see absolutely no flaws. I am still very much in love with this game, and time apart has only strengthened my love for this game.
If any of you haven't played the game yet (SHAME!), then I suggest you do so. It's truly a game made by the gods themselves. Somehow I don't think that playing this game once more will help with my obsessive compulsive tendencies, but it will truly make me happy for the week I have it.

You must like ED a lot to have all the ED stuff that you do.
I want to remember all the runes but just can't because i haven't tried, i also have downloaded the soundtrack too! Can't wait for what SK has planned next.

WOW!!!! I am so impressed with this game. I played for HOURS last night, and can't stop thinking about the game. Everything about it is fantastic. The movement, the graphics, the fact that your player gets exhausted, the insanty effects, the magic system, the targeting, the story, the presentation as a story....
VERY impressed. I may have under estimated the game a little (after all it sat brand new and unplayed for months). This 30 year old LOVES the gamecube while I can play the bright, fun mario sunshine then play ED for a dark, violent experience. The experience with this console has been the best I've ever had.
The diversity of the games is great fun.

I really really really love the game though. I am very pleased that in spite of the game not selling well, I am not the only fan out there.

i find myself playing it for no reason at all- just to enjoy the story and the awesome gameplay
the sanity effects make the game worth playing all over again
after beating it the first time, i went back not just for the uber ending but also just for lowering my sanity all the way to see the effects
if silicon knight's next game is just as good- we will be in for a huge treat

But after play-testing the demo of ED, I knew it wasn't like the RE that I hated, and I bought my WalMart's first copy, fresh out of the cellophane multipak. Unlike most of my other games, I was intensly driven to finish. The switching of characters along with the great story kept the whole thing fresh, and the controls allowed me to feel in control ::cough:: RE ::cough::. I would really love to beat it twice more to get the special ending, but new games keep coming out!
Anyway, when it came time to choose an author for my Lit class' Know-A-Writer project, I went straight for HP Lovecraft. I haven't read any of his works, and though I've heard things about him from Penny Arcade and ED preview-type-things, so I didn't know what I was getting myself into. Fortunately it's not written in Ye Olde Englishe and they're only short stories. No serious mind-f*ckings yet, but there's certainly an unsettling feeling. Let's see if I can work in some ED in my presentation...

Ok, I have always wanted to read Lovecraft, but never wanted to sit down and read a long book, and I had assumed it would be written in old English, which I hate. If they are short and readable, I might just give them a go. Can you let me know what some of Lovecraft's better works are? I realize that you haven't read them all yet, but you seem fairly knowledgable in the subject.

One of my favorite cube games without a doubt, and im not a fan of any sort of horror genre.
I never have finished the third file, I need to go back and do thatsomeday, perhaps once im done with Ikaruga (which i need to pick up today)

The "bathtub scene" is still the scariest videogame moment ever. It just caught me by surprise and scared the living **** out of me, I remember shivering there for the next few minutes after that..

There used to be a park around where I lived with a cement pad that was perfect for spells. Grab a roll of blue electrical tape and you are good to go. Also, thanks for the advice on Lovecraft. I will definately be keeping my eyes open for some of his stories.

If for some reason, it seemed too obvious to be true, HPLovecraft.com has plenty of info and most of his stories freely available to read/print out.

It chills me just thinking about that scene. I made it to Karim's stage in about an hour, then decided I would save the rest of the game for when I didn't have Skies of Arcadia anymore. It's a week rental, so I have plenty of time, unlike Skies of Arcadia...
Anyways, I am almost at that scene again, and it kind of worries me... I know what's there, I know when it happens, I know that I don't have to look at it... but I always do anyways. I just can't NOT do it. And it freaks me out every time. I don't know what it is about that scene, but it's some seriously scary stuff (damn censor... why can't it just **** the swear words?).

you could either shooot the zombie a few times or run up to him and give him 1 slice on the head.
the game was awesome though...a bit too easy because of the mana regeneration so you could heal all the time.

I didn't think the healing spells made the game easy, it made the game not frustrating. There's a difference. It still took me 20 hours to beat first time through.

I never had a problem with the guns or projectile weapons though. I found that they were great for trappers and horrors. Besides, nothing beat using an enchanted assault rifle.
My first time through the game I used only blades, as I was scared of running out of ammo, but this time through, I have been having great success with the projectile weapons. I love them.
