Title: Ikaruga out tomorow anybody exited?

Excellent! I'm very excited. I'm a little tired of the cutesy fair on my Cube as of late; Wind Waker especially. While I'll always have an hour set aside for Animal Crossing, I'm very stoked about the assbeating i'm hoping to get with Ikaruga. Mmmmm.

I played it for a bit on Dreamcast, and I thought it was a really cool game. It's incredibly hard, but it's also pretty well balanced. If you beat the game, you have bragging rights right there.

ever since i knew treasure was making this game for gc i got very excited
and i have had the game fully pre-paid for about a month now- i cant wait for tommorrow
i finally get some oldschool shooting action
and as long as it is as hard and awesome as i heard it is i will be pleased

My friend had it imported for Dreamcast and said it was absolutely awesome... I dont know if i'll end up picking it up or not. I just hope I can find it at a rental place so I get a chance to play it, my hopes aren't very high though.

I can finally stop digging out old systems to play gradius, lifeforce, raiden, etc. Its nice to have a game that I don't have to hunt for stuff, combine items, level-up or any of that other nonsense. Just blow stuff up....thats the ticket. Even has a little strategy with the light/dark angle. Not enough of us old fellas out there.

I've also had a taste of the soundtrack, and I NEED it. But it's far too expensive...

Post by: Berto2K on April 14, 2003, 09:48:24 PM: I been warming up with this pc game: rRootage. There are 4 gameplay modes, one of which is Ika. It can be pretty hard and an addrenaline push too. I been hooked on it and I think I will get the same from Ikaruga.

It's an old style shooter, along the lines of Aerofighters or Raiden. However, it's a very difficult game, and the graphics are quite good. It's a Dreamcast port obviously, but it's marketted towards the hardcore gamers among us. I have no doubt this game will bomb big time, but it doesn't keep it from being an excellent game. I highly suggest a rental if nothing else.

But the difficulty sways me from buying it, since I suck at shooting game...

I am getting this as well, I love this shooting type games! However I won't get Golden Sun 2 right now, supposedly it is really hard and really hard RPG annoy me... Plus the higher my blood presure...weeee!
