I'm trying to make some money through college here (things are tight), so I had a great website idea and I implemented it. Here it is: http://www.futurapedia.com/
It's a Wikipedia of the future.
I've worked hard on and am just looking for people to add articles and edit them etc. Just looking for people who would enjoy contributing. I'm not a big sci-fi guy, so I'm not good at writing things like that, but you can seriously write anything you want, political, deaths whatever. Just don't screw up the system and always talk in past tense. I appreciate any time volunteered. If the website picks up, and you donated enough, I'll drop you some paypal monies :)
Also if you have suggestions for the site, that'd be great. Like I said, I'm just trying to make some money to get through college.

Is this an encyclopedia of things that haven't happened yet, kind of like Conan's "In the year 2000" bits?

Yes :) I actually got a ton of attention from a certain other Non-Nintendo forum. But if everyone wants to check it out I'd love that.

hell yea, i remember writing goofy articles on wikipedia just for giiggles once and they were deleted within two minutes, i'm still planning on creating fake sources and whatnot just to make the article stick.

i thought the same thing, so heres my suggested article.
it'd go something like this:

In 20XX, essentially on his death bed, O'Brien investment paid off as Future Tech Inc successfully launched their initial line of time machines. As the majority stockholder, O'Brien became the first human test subject to be sent back in time.
While in the past, Conan was able to manipulate situations making all the predictions on his shows segment "In the Year 2000" come true, as well as having any events predicted on the show after the new millennium come true, thus making his "predictions" actual facts about the past, essentially turning the segment into an anecdotal telling of historic events.

Put this on the front page Daaman! Imagine building the world of the future off of this! This started out as a joke my buddy Justin and I talked about after he got attacked by Javalinas. Then we made a wikipedia article about Leroy The Javalina hunter and it was promptly deleted within 2 minutes by wikipedia.

you should really spam about 10 forums, its not spam here because your a regular. Its a great idea i think. Thats how Fran Mirabella III started out.

Really, thank you guys for your support, I'm finishing up a small timeline for the website, then I will re-release it. :D (Busy with school right now)
Spamming forums worked really well BTW. I've done it to this forum and Ultimate-guitar.com. U-G got me almost 8,500 page views in 24 hrs and almost 100 articles. If your wondering, I made about 2 dollars in ad money in that time period ;)

Yeah, I had my big party Saturday and I'd been recovering from that so I haven't been on the forums for a few days. I've got to flesh out my old bit about the Canadian Civil War.

OMG. I couldnt even read that. HUGE WALL OF TEXT WITH LINKS TO MORE WALLS OF TEXT & A PIC One whole day....? be honest, you been working on that for weeks.

Unfortunately, I have had very little success with this project. I don't think its that I need to pump a bunch more features into it, I think its more like a marketing problem :P
