Why not, they already have 4 Street Fighter games on the Virtual Console (3 regular Street Fighter II's plus the first Super Street Fighter II).
I hope people won't get their hopes up for something like Mario Kart Arcade GP, it would be way too large to be reasonable (I think Nintendo wants to avoid games that couldn't fit in the Wii's internal flash memory and I have no doubt both Mario Kart's would be more than 512MB).

I'd love to see the old licensed brawlers like The Simpsons, TMNT, and X-Men. The Capcom vs. fighters would be amazing, too. I'm also hopeful (though not optimistic) for some of Nintendo's old arcade titles.

I'm surprised that Donkey Kong isn't there right at the start. I'd LOVE a pixel-perfect Donkey Kond Jr... that was my favorite Nintendo arcade game back in the day.
Oh, and I vote for Q-Bert, Galaga, Pole Position, Joust and 4-player Gauntlet. Oh, and Streets of Rage. So many memories!

Well considering that the TMNT Arcade game is already on XBLA, I'd imagine there's a good chance it'll eventually hit the Virtual Console. The other license based one I'm not to sure but I'd imagine they have a better chance of appearing on the Virtual Console now then they do XBLA.
Getting the license to some of these old properties can already be hard enough in some cases, but on XBLA they then have to make the games to support HD and include online co-op. I'd imagine all these factors can cost more time and money then some companies might want to do. This might explain why it's been over 2 years since TMNT came out on XBLA, and yet no other license based games have come out since, not even it's sequel, Turtles in Time.
But on the Virtual Console Arcade, since Nintendo isn't forcing third parties to jump through hoops like Microsoft does, I'd imagine a company like Konami might have more incentive to try and get the license to some of their older properties again, since it'll be easier and cheaper to put these games on the Virtual Console after finally regaining the said license.

...Super Mario Vs. please. (http://"http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=18787.msg290795#msg290795")
When I click this link it goes to a "Page Load Error" screen because there's a HTTP:// before the address and quotation marks around the address (e.g. http://"http://"http//www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=18787.msg290795#msg290795"). Once I delete these additions the page strangekly re-sirects to the Wikipedia page on "Hypertext Transfer Protocol".
I have Nintendo Points waiting for X-Men & TMNT Acarde
Here's the bad news Ubisoft has the game rights to the TMNT franchise currently, a good idea is to launch the arcade game along side the TMNT brawler that's developed by Game Arts.

That's why it would probably be 600 points instead of 500, just like the NES TMNT game. I am surprised companies are doing this more. Nintendo sorta did it when they released Metroid and Super Metroid the same month as Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. Why not release Super Smash Bros. the same week as Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Hopefully Konami and Ubisoft do make some deal to release the TMNT arcade game the same week as the new TMNT brawler.

Releasing SSB the same week as SSBB could have actually hurt sales - not significantly, but maybe a little.

Speaking of sales, I still can't believe Nintendo didn't put an option in SSBB to take you right to the game in the Wii Shop Channel (rather than just saying you can buy it). Also makes me wish they would create demos for Virtual Console and WiiWare. Hell, they don't even have to do much, just do what most Xbox Live Arcade games do (with XBLA you actually download the entire game, but there is a time limit on the demo that is removed if you decide to buy the game).
