Listening to you guys made me realize I should have talked about this more in my review.
Greg is partially correct. It auto charges if you stop moving. It doesn't do it whenever yous top moving though. It only does it if you are in the path of an oncoming ball.
This was a little weird at first, but I think the reason why it didn't make it into the review is because I got used to it. Personally, i think the auto charging is a good way to give the player feedback for if they are in the path of the ball.
There's one interesting part regarding forehands and backhands and this too. Your player will start auto charging whatever shot it thinks make sense. Obviously if its charging a back hand and you perform a back hand it will hit a nice hard shot...
However, if it is charging a backhand and you swing a forehand, your character will immediately jump to the other side and do a forehand... the result is still a return, but instead of a nice charged one, it's usually some sore of loop shot that will get spiked back in your face.
So yeah, forehand backhand selection is a level of depth that wasn't in the Cube game.

You say "you are all crazy", but Jonny was the only person to actually express the opinion that SMK is not one of the better MK games -
I have never played SMK because I was put off buying the game as a kid by the fact that it runs in split-screen even in single player, TYP is definitely a SMK fan, and Jon didn't express an opinion either way.

Eternal Darkness 2 will never be on a non-Nintendo system. I just checked the USPTO site and Nintendo owns the trademark. I also heard they own the patent for the insanity system. So a sequel can only happen on a Nintendo system (unless it's just a spiritual sequel, like how BioShock is a spiritual sequel to System Shock due to Electronic Arts owning System Shock).

SMK had cheap AI as well such as rubberbanding and I watched one enemy driver pass through one of those electric thwomps on Rainbow Road that cost me the gold on 150cc.
I think the N64 one had the best balance of items and gameplay tricks. That version's blue shell sailed on the ground, could be blocked and was an uncommon occurrence.

SMK and Super Circuit gave me headaches and I wasn't even thrilled with SMK when it was the hot new game either. It wasn't until 3D where you actually had elevation where I started enjoying any racer.
Also I was sad to see Jungle Speed ignored AGAIN when it came to recommendations, if you want an addicting card game with high production values (at least for Wiiware) this is the game you MUST get. Though for some reason its underhyped nature is far more then even Groovin Blocks (which is a fun game in its own right). It is fast and frantic yet anyone can play it.

I think now that there is a storage solution in place people might be more open to D/Ling new things on the service since space isn't an issue. I know BitTripBeat and Groovin Blocks fit into that category for me. I might try Jungle Speed out at some point too when I have someone who would play it with me.
Yeah Jungole Speed is for more then one person, you can have AI opponents but it just isn't the same. In case people don't understand what Jungle Speed is, it is a card game where you each start with a stack of cards, you keep flipping your cards until you see your card matches someone else, if it does you have to grab the idol in the center of the board (It works extremely well with Wii you basically hold B and jerk the Wiimote forward). The one who doesn't get the idol in time gets the other player's cards, and you play until one person flips over all of their cards (BTW these symbols can look REALLY similar so you have to be careful). You also get cards that change the rules like everyone must grab for the idol at once, or it may swtch things up like making the card flipping go counterclockwise instead of clockwise. It also has a more casual mode and a more complex mode where the symbols look even more similar along with some wacky special cards.
Oh yeah you can also try to fake someone out and do a pretend grab if you just whip your Wiimote forward without holding the button, though your character may be clumsy and knock it over. So all in all, GREAT GAME, that must be tried if you like multiplayer experiences.
