I've dealt with every single one of those customers.  Seriously.  Although I've never been offered pie, I have been offered cookies.  And EasyCure's mom.

And the guy who's NES was so nasty it stuck to the sale's person's hand?  Yeah.... been there.  Obviously, I haven't had returned merchandise stick to my hand quite like that, but I've had some pretty nasty stuff that people have tried to return.

"I don't know what's wrong with it.  What?  It's not supposed to have cockroaches inside of it?"

Yeah, what was the deal with that sticky NES anyway? The customer denied it was Soda, so.... I guess we probably don't want to know, lol.

The lady's so nice. Why do you have to call upon sexism every time a woman is shown to want to do something nice to someone else.

It was manly her extreme ignorance of the system or electronics in general (How I hate that stereotype!), oh yeah, let's not mention that women can be just as mischievous too, it isn't just the nerdy dork guys who spill slimy stuff on the NES and try to pawn it off ;) .

One of the funnier things is how they were blaming the customer for the NES cartridge slot of doom.

To be fair, it looked like ALL the customers that showed up were complete ignoranuses. Yeah, the woman definitely was... yeah, she was pretty dumb for plugging the controller in port 2 and expecting it to work, but look at the dorky guy who acted like he was so bright and didn't even know the Gameboy problem was due to the contrast setting being too high?

They were ALL idiots. There was no sexism.

The video didn't try to suggest all women are pie-bakers; just that that particular woman was.

You mean the only person representing women in the video? ;)

Hey, now that you mention it... did anyone happen to see any minorities in that vid? Because I sure didn't. Maybe this means the video is racist. :-O

This video makes me sad. If I took my Nintendo to the store and asked them to fix it, the clerk would give me a dirty look. And now Gamestop is selling $40 shirts while Free Radical needs a bailout? I hate the modern world

That "bully" customer is the worst kind of customer. I don't care much for any of those types, the completely oblivious or ridiculous idiots, but that one is by the the worst kind of customer in history. He's the first person to throw the "customer is always right" **** in your face and demand you to bend over backwards for him.

As for the pie-lady.. i'll choose to refrain from making a sexist joke here since GPs on her war path again, and demands all of us to hear her roar just kidding GP i <3 U! .. I will say.. hey, that sorta stuff actually happens!!

Once when i was working retail, i helped this nice couple out when i was the only one in the store (i was short staffed and sent my only other staff member on lunch) , and they left after purchasing a few things, came back and offered me taco bell! How nice is that? :)

Oh and just a month ago some nice older women gave me a $10 tip for.. well nothing. I did absolutely nothing. I even told her as much, tried to return it saying i couldn't accept it and she said nonsense.

That reminds me.  At my college computer lab job, a nice older lady who I had helped several times walked up and handed me a Christmas present at the end of a semester.  That's the only time anything like that has happened to me, though.

I can't remember.  Sadly, it was a bit of a waste.  It was a shirt that didn't fit, the receipt wasn't in the box, and I wasn't about to find her and ask for it.  But it still gives me the warm fuzzies to think about it.

No sexism.

Lol.

Would it have been less sexist if she had offered to change the oil in his car?

What did that first guy do to his NES? I don't even want to know what that brown stuff was...

$12 for an NES Cleaning Kit? What a racket. Nintendo is lucky enough I wasn't capable back then of spreading the word that a box of cotton swabs and a bottle of surgical spirit is essentially the same thing.

LOL.

Anyway has anyone actually ever gotten bad customer service from Nintendo. My launch DS had a dead pixel, and replaced within a week. I got My DS Lite fixed twice, once L button stopped working and second the touch screen was off. Nice people over phone and it was 100% free

You laugh - it happened one time... Well, without the "It's not supposed to have cockroaches inside of it?" part.  Someone bought a pack of Polaroid instant film and put it in their camera and the prints came out horribly (even more so than usual for this type of film).  When I opened up the camera, all kinds of crap, including roaches, came out.  Gee, no wonder it doesn't work...

Anywhoo, as for "bad" customer service from Nintendo - only once, if you want to call it that.  When the Game Boy Player first came out, I called to see if there was any way to get the Super Game Boy borders from older GB games to appear on the screen.  The guy didn't seem to know what I was talking about, and when I used Link's Awakening DX to describe it, he acted like I was crazy because Link's Awakening DX was a Game Boy Color game and wouldn't work on the Super Game Boy...  We finally agreed to disagree, and I just came to the conclusion myself that there was no way to use the SGB borders with the Game Boy Player...  I kinda felt the guy was being rude to me, but he probably thought I was like the nerdy guy in the video who thought he knew it all.

But, for the record, the DX version of Link's Awakening does, in fact, play in the Super Game Boy.

Retail blows. There was a group of women my manager affectionately called the gang of Gypsies, Theives, and Tramps. Its funny because they were all of the above. They'd steal merchandise from one store in the chain and return it to another for merchandise credit, then use the credit to buy what they really wanted (mainly shoes). Why are they tramps? Well once when i was working with just one other employee, they came in and at one point one of the women took her breasts out to show another her nipple peircing, and tried to press it up to the glass display so another one of the women could gauge whether or not the one she liked in the display was the same size or not...

:)

Oh and i've had people try to return things covered in dog hair or other crap on it claiming it was never worn. As for roaches, i never experienced it myself but coworkers told me that someone tried to return a pair of shoes and noticed "at least one dead roach on the bottom of the shoe."

That sorta stuff actually happens man.
