Title: Please help with Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Post by: Halbred on November 10, 2008, 08:56:33 PM
So I don't think this game works on the Wii. I have the same problems with the Mega Man X Collection:
1) Pop the game in the Wii, it starts up just fine. I can see all the menu screens. I can select a game.
2) The game itself (all the Anniversary games, most of the MMX games) give me the same black screen that Neo-Geo VC games give me. I can HEAR the game, but I can't see it.
3) Switching to composite, however, does not help this time.
Is there a solution to my woes? Does anybody else have this problem? Is it my TV? I love my TV.

Hmmm I am going to guess you have a HD set.If so you might want to try it on a SD TV. If it doesn't work after that Call up Capcom and describe the problem. If you don't get a solution after that try other GC games. If other games work than it is the MMAC disk.

That's weird. I bought Mega Man Anniversary Collection for my wii earlier this year and it runs fine. Have you tried the disc in a different wii or gamecube?

Do you have a pre-existing save file on your cube memory card? For MM:AC and MMX:C I found that there's an issue if you don't have a save file, it may black out for 1 second but it should revert fine. I'm using a 3rd party component cable with 480p and widescreen enabled.
