Title: Mega Man 9 Release Date Revealed

 Through a recent posting on the Capcom Blog, the release date of Mega Man 9 has been revealed for North America. This coming Monday, September 22, the game is said to be hitting the WiiWare service. As usual this date is subject to change as the only official release information is provided by Nintendo's own Wii-kly Update.    

The game will also be appearing on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade shortly thereafter, on September 25 and October 1 respectively. No word was given on release in other regions, though the Japanese release has already been set for September 24, two days after the North American release.

I wonder if Nintendo is going to be stupid and delay the release later because they call the shots not anyone else.

Now i wonder what else Nintendo will release that day. Will they unleash good titles on Virtual console and also WiiWare since people opening wallet for Mega man might as well buy other stuff, or will they put up garbage against Mega man so it stands out.

You make it sound like no matter what happens, what Nintendo does, we're screwed.  We're getting a great game *very soon,* so you should be happy...at least I'd think people would be happy about it.

I don't think I've been more excited about a Wii game since...um...Smash Bros.?

I think your high expectations will be your downfall, the game will fail to live up to them.

i think that just depends on how big an original mega man fanatic you are. I know i'm looking forward to this. I always wanted to go back to the more traditional style and this looks like it'll deliver.

I want to play this game, but I think it'll be too hardcore for me to ever finish.
