Nintendo held a similarly timed press conference last year . In 2007, Nintendo talked about market and sales data, showed off the then-upcoming WiiWare service, and announced that Capcom was bringing Monster Hunter 3 to the Wii exclusively.
When reached for comment by Edge Online Nintendo confirmed that they are indeed having a press conference on the specified date. However, they declined to provide anything else, stating that they are "not announcing anything (about the press conference) at this time."
This press conference comes a week before the annual Tokyo Game Show which Nintendo is not attending.
While Nintendo is hesitant to admit anything as the "content and announcements are still being finalized," they are reportedly set to announce "a number of new products."

If you didn't remember i was really pissed off after E3. As of now I don't have any plans to buy any new Wii game for the rest of the year. I might eventually get Okami but nothing else.
NOTHING else. Animal Crossing doesn't seem like a big enough leap, Disaster might be good rental, the hell with WiiMusic, never got into none micro Wario games. i might rent Star Was Force Unleashed.
but nothing i'm going to buy that isn't on WiiShop channel. I don't have money to buy a 360 and only other system is a DS which I am looking forward to its games but still Wii is what I waited over night in front of Best Buy for.
