Title: Why does Ian spell it "newcomber"?
Post by: IceCold on September 15, 2008, 02:44:32 AM
It however appears to be casual focused because most longtime Nintendo fans already have it for the Cube and a fair chunk of us don't want to buy it again.  I guess it's a "newcomber" focused game.  It's for people that didn't buy it on the Cube and haven't gotten sick of the concept yet.

Honestly, since the day I started reading the forums it's bothered me. Every single time it sticks out like a sore thumb, and yet no one corrects him. I've spent sleepless nights worrying about it. Images of a child brushing his hair for the first time!

Someone please enlighten me!

It bugs me, too, but if I pointed out every spelling mistake I saw on the Internet, I'd wear out my keyboard in less than an hour.

Because no one actually reads through Ian's posts all the way anymore?

He did that one time, didn't he?  He was on vacation, there was a thread about him, he came back, I think he was angry/surprised, or something.

LOL when isnt he angry?

Considering all the flak he takes, I'm impressed that he keeps it together most of the time.

hm i never thought of it that way. I figured he was always slightly off his rocker though, because of his handle.

i mean, to constantly contradict yourself day after day, year after year, you have to be pretty crazy right? its part of his "charm"

Considering all the trolling he does, it doesn't surprise me at all...It's like being shocked to take a punch to the gut after calling someone's mom a whore...

i'd be shocked to get punched in the got if i called someones mom a whore if they really WERE a whore... like, if i had the documents to prove it.

consider this scenario:

you're hanging out with your best friend. you pass by a police precinct where his mother is released on bail, and you ask her why she was taken in and she says prostitution. The next day she's on the front cover of the local news paper for being busted for prostitution again.

next time you see that friend you happen to say his mothers a whore, cuz its true.

if i was the friend with the whorish mother, i wouldnt be mad. :)

The word "whore" must have a completely different and benign meaning to you then, because to me "whore" is an offensive term to call someone, true or not... =(

(It's sort of like the distinction between homosexual and f*ggot...)

consider this scenario:

Your searching for information on STD's on the internet, and a video link to your friend's mom pops up. You click it and the video starts with her getting railed by 8 german dudes all yelling hilarious german **** like "Oop me asshole!"

I don't think your friend would mind you calling his mom a whore.

I'll only bite if you say that scenario is from personal experience... :tpg:

I wish...

It's from South Park (but I don't remember what they were searching for).

i believe that was from the movie and they were searching for the meaning of the word "clitorus" and got something like a milliion results, so they clicked on the first one and it was cartmans mom.

there was also that one episode where the boys filmed a music video but cartman didnt realize he'd taped his moms sex slave video (featuring herself and Mr. Mackey). I'm surprised they got away with showing her urinating into a cup...

it does.

I hear so much worse around here that "whore" and "slut" are actually the nicer ways to put it. All the girls i hung out with in high school were so vicious.. i never heard the 'c' word tossed around so loosely.

so anyway, sorry if i somehow offended you bill, but to me whore = homosexual>f*ggot

Aha, there's no reason for me to offended, is there? (yet! =O)  We're only talking about context here, after-all...

Bill, your such a whore! (Remember, I'm still stalking you.) And must I say, what you just did is just downright disgusting.

One dog lapping up peanut butter off your balls was gross enough (I threw up with laughter), but a whole litter of kittens while you shoot heroin?

I've seen that Dave Chappelle skit too, but damn...........................

One time I had the 'evil' version of Ian's Batman avatar, and he didn't really get it since he fails at reading the Funhouse topics.

Okay someone pointed this out to me.

I spell it "newcomber" because I'm an idiot. :)  For some reason I thought it was spelled that way and I've never been corrected or noticed that other people spelled it "newcomer".  Hell I'll probably still spell it wrong just because when you try to proofread your own work you see it correctly even if it isn't.

I also type "buy" or "by" when I want to type "but" and vice versa due to "typing muscle memory" where my hands are typing faster than my brain and "guess" what the word is supposed to be like I'm texting on a cellphone or something.

I'm currently IN high school.

Think of the stuff I hear (and say).

Trust me, I'm pretty much immune to this stuff. But don't worry, you won't be hearing any of that $@*#ing bull%&@# from me. I'm so not into that %*&#.

I cared enough to read it, but what can you really say to it? He answered your question, that's the end of that chapter.

Now on with the hilarious South Park refrences and whore talk.

exactly.

so did anyone know that Cartmans mom, Liane, is named after Trey Parkers former fiance who was unfaithful to him? Thats where her charecteristic whorishness comes from.

Also if you've ever seen their (trey and matts) first movie (a college project) "Cannibal: The Musical", you'll notice that Trey's horse is named Liane as well.
