The Wing is powered via 2 AAA batteries and boasts a playtime of 30 hours. Additionally, players can install store-bought rechargeable AAA batteries via an included USB cable while they play. Included with the Wing is a wireless adaptor that connects to the bottom of any enabled Wiimote for wireless freedom.

Honestly I like it, don't love it but its nice. I don't like the red for buttons, I would of liked it to be clear white like A is on Wiimote, but it looks nice. I guess its safe to assume it won't have rumble and won't work for Cube games?

I want a cube controller that is wireless and has rumble, so this isn't for me since I already have enough classic controllers (2 CC for my 2 wiimotes). I tried that thrustmaster one, but after a few months of play the stupid thing just stopped working correctly.

Did they dip that thing in gel?  Boy it's shiny...

I'd need more impressions, because the thing looks pretty blocky (and like a Dualshock, my most-hated controller ever...)

I can't think of any good reason to buy this over Nyko's own Classic Controller Grip, especially if you already have Classic Controllers. The Grip looks more comfortable, is pretty cheap to add on to an existing Classic Controller, doesn't require extra batteries, and, most importantly, doesn't require you to trust Nyko with something electronic.

That thing looks like Barf, I bet the Classic Controller and  PS3 controller is better by 10 miles, Wing doesn't look comfortable at all. I dont trust nyko with batteries or controllers.

Also AAA batteries!?!?! What the hell Nyko everyone uses AA's so if you want this pile of vomit you need 2 AA batteries for the Wii Remote and 2 AAA for this piece of vomit?

Not being tethered to the remote is nice but AAA batteries = fail

Like Bill said with all that gloss it looks like it would just slip right out of your hands.

Is it against the law for them to change the position of the analog stick?

I think they just want to avoid that since the games assume certain positions (and hell, the CC is meant for the VC which uses mostly the dpad).

Well it's priced at 29.99 which makes me say hell no.

Classic controller is mostly for virtual console games. There is a single console in the virtual console that uses an analog stick at all.

I wonder if there's any way to make the dongle where it can fit into the GCN port or onto a Wii Remote, allowing it to work with GCN games as well as Wii games that require the classic controller...

N64 .

I thought Neo Geo had its version of analog stick too and the arcade games used a joystick no??

That's what I'm talking about.

To ideas how this could work.

1. You have a cube extension cable and make a converter attachment and direct classic controller to that cable, so cube games will just recognized cube controller is inserted not knowning its also attached to classic controller.

2. In theory too you could get it wireless too, same idea however you just have a wireless receiver connected  to cube and an battery attachment you can connect to classic controller.
So it thinks its just a wavebird, but in reality its not.

I'm not tech expert but I really don't see why it would be hard to jimmy a way to get classic controller to work with cube game.

That would probably would be possible with a switch on the controller like in gamecube mode it would disable the home and minus buttons and make the zL and zR into just normal Z and in Wii mode it would be a standard CC.

The only thing is just it would probably inflate the cost and 29.99 for this thing is stupid thing and I'm not fond of the aesthetics of the controller already.
