Comedian Bernie Mac dies aged 50 (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7551477.stm)
This seriously dampened my day.
What a shock.
What a guy.
Dearly missed.

I'm with you man, this totally bummed me out when I found out this morning. I loved Bernie Mac, he was so hilarious.
Sad thing about it too is that just last year he said that he planned to retire soon and enjoy his life. :'(
He died of pneumonia...is it just me, or does that seem like a really weird thing to die of in this day and age, when you're only 50 years old? I know the elderly can die from it, but that's because they're too weak to fight it off. He did have a rare lung disease a few years back, but that was apparently in remission...

Well it says he died from complications of pneumonia, so there are a variety of factors that could have ended his life, such as infection or increased fluid in the lungs (which decrease the amount of oxygen getting to tissues)...
It's sad to see him go...He really was a funny guy... =/

it could of been worse, he could of died of Excessive Extreme Explosive diarrhea. :D ;D

Anyway this is really sad to hear, by all accounts he was a decent guy and to die from something so common is heart breaking.

I agree with the second part, but for the "too soon" part, less than 24 hours later, we had a topic poking fun of the death of a lady that got hit by a flying stingray (or stink ray, if you will).

I was shocked when I read that he died, he seemed like a person that's really healthy for a 40 - 50 year old.

How long did his sit-com last? I liked it, but I have trouble following shows on network television for some reason.
