The DS title features the titular character Mister Slime, also referred to as Slimey, who is tasked with bringing peace to the warring inhabitants of the planet, the Slimes and the Axons. Players navigate through levels by using the touch screen to stretch Slimey's arms and grab hold of a variety of anchor points, and swimming and floating is controlled by blowing into the microphone.

Tucked away in the deepest, darkest corner of the universe lies a seemingly peaceful world inhabited by strange and fascinating creatures. Players enter the world as Slimey, a young slime determined to stop the violence between the warring clans.
