From what I've read it actually sounds like they found a pretty good control scheme. I'm hoping to get a 360 soon and I was planning to get EA's hockey game for it, but I may have to pick this up.

Sorry, very late. But I'm excited! It's about time this happened - hopefully it sets the standard (or at least a foundation) and we get some amazing hockey games later on. I'm extremely interested in NHL 09 - too bad it's not on Wii.

I'm picking up NHL 09 for 360, IceCold. I'm assuming you played NHL 08, which was SICK (even though I didn't put nearly as much time into as I should have...shame on me). If they continue developing the online leagues, it's going to be amazing.

Gamespot released a video preview. Except for the lack of online gaming, this game looks pretty impressive, not only in terms of controls but also the graphics looks pretty good.
