During the conference a total of three mini-games were shown, a portion of the total offering. Sword Play made use of the MotionPlus adaptor, allowing players to have 1:1 sword control on the screen. Players are able to square off and attempt to force each other off the platform to win in a best of three competition.
Disc Dog also gave players 1:1 control, though this time of a Frisbee which they could toss to their Mii-like dog on screen. If the throw was good enough, with enough hang time, the dog is able to catch it before the disc hits the ground.
Finally, Power Cruising allowed players to navigate the waves of the resort with the remote and nunchuk on a wave scooter.
Wii Sports Resort will allow up to four players in at least some of the mini-games and is said to feature easy-to-pick-up sports for the whole family.
Wii Sports Resort is coming to the Wii, packaged with the MotionPlus dongle, next spring.
