Title: Sleep: Overrated or much appreciated?
Post by: animecyberrat on June 21, 2008, 01:41:38 AM
Being one who has trouble sleeping I would like to ask what others think of the practice. Is sleep really so important or is it overrated? I wish I knew what it was like to get a "good nights sleep" but I haven't had that as far back as I can remember. Even when I sleep long enough to dream, I usually have crazy ass weird dreams that wake me right up.

So do you have trouble sleeping? If so how do you deal with it? Any thoughts? suggestions? Advice? (not pills please)

Just go to bed. You'll die if you don't sleep (at all). Leave the TV off, or at least don't watch something enjoyable if you need it on.

Take a huge crap right before bed, always puts me out like a light.

Depends on who you ask.  I think it is much appreciated.  Olive (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=19810.0) feels otherwise.

I sleep, just not very well and never through the whole night.

and I don't watch TV. My TV set is in my computer room across from my bedroom and it isn't hooked up to anything but my computer.

Sleep is much appreciated for me.  Television sucks late night, and I just can't function without getting normal sleep.

The only things that can keep me up are homework, a good book, friends, and a good game.

But even then I try to go to be at the latest 12:30am...I have stayed up later, but I almost always regret it.

Don't sleep until you're too tired to be awake anymore. Then, you'll love it.

My body thrives on little sleep...If I sleep any more than 6 hours, I'm cranky for the rest of the day... (Shouldn't it be the other way around?)

If you can't sleep check your eyelids for holes. That'll do.

I often get 8-10 hours sleep. But then looking like a 12 year old has its disadvantages.

I've always had trouble sleeping.  After some examination part of the conclusion reached was that I'm simply naturally more intune to being awake at night.

It was resolved with prescription narcotics.

Since I am opposed to taking drugs and I hate Doctors so much that has never been an option for me. I can get a full nights sleep, it just takes me 12 hours instead of 8 because I wake up to much and sleep very light when I do sleep.
