Title: How to create your own Nintendo of Europe-style reward programme
Post by: KDR_11k on June 20, 2008, 05:22:01 AM
I often see NWRers complain about the lack of a stars catalogue in the US. Don't fret, it is easy to create your own.

First, get a piggy bank. If you want to, put a star sticker on it or something. This will be your account. Add 63 cents to your piggy bank to symbolize your new account bonus.

For every Nintendo (not third party!) videogame you purchase add the following amounts to your piggy bank:
game costs $49 or more: 63 cents
$29-49: 50 cents
less than $29: 25 cents

Also add $2.50 for your Wii and $1.25 for your DS (if you own them). If you own a piece of hardware or software more than once only count the first.

When the bank fills up to $20 buy a wii points card (to be fair NoE allows that in 100, 300, 500 and 1000 point steps). You can also spend it on Nintendo merchandise but not a retail game (except during a solar eclipse and then only third party games with a review average below 85%) and if you buy a soundtrack make sure it is from an N64 game (and only buy one during a lunar eclipse). If you feel serious about it remove 88 cents from the piggy bank every time you refer to GameFAQs.

Now you too can have your very own NoE style reward programme. Enjoy!

I'm getting excited about NALs version of this! Except it's totally jsut data mining and the points wont add up to anything.
