Title: Who wants some garbage?!
Post by: Maverick on June 13, 2008, 07:03:05 PM
So the men's bathroom is full so I use the womens instead, and what do I see?  Bill motherfuckin' Clinton sittin' next to me.  A thoroughly used pink GBA SP complete with Mario Kart Super circuit for your my playing pleasure.

If nobody calls for this within' the next week or so, I'll probably hold on to Mario Kart,  but if anyone wants dibs on the roughed up communist SP, let me know.

Looks like this:

Top is scratched and scuffed a bit, the rest is fine.  Definitely belonged to a kid.

I'd take it.  It's much cuter than my boring silvery one.

Cool, I'll hit you up if I don't get any calls/visits about it within the next week.

It's a long shot, but you know what'd be nice?  You should send it in to Nintendo.  Perhaps this kid's family registered the GBA on MyNintendo and they can ship it back to it's proper home?

Hmm... although I agree that it's a long shot, that WOULD be nice.  I guess it's up to Smoke if he wants it or not.  Either way it doesn't affect me, unless Nintendo is going to charge me shipping.

It really doesn't make much difference to me. :b  Do what you want with it.

Why don't you call them and see what they can do?  They can probably look it up and see if it's been registered.  If so, I imangine they'd send you a pre-paid return box for you to ship it to them, then they can ship it out to the owner (I wouldn't expect them to give you the owner's address or  such).

Just a though...

Women's public restrooms are much dirtier than men's public restrooms. FACT.

Ewww I seriously hope you didn't pick anything up off the bathroom floor. I don't care if was a 100$ bill I wouldn't touch it.

It was resting on the towel dispenser.  Plus this is a small local business I'm talkin' about here, not your local Wal Mart.

Why hasn't Matt Oz posted in this thread? I'm only happy when it rains.

I don't get this. Aren't toilets not cleaned in DA UNITED STATES OF AMERICA? Are they just left alone, steadily getting dirtier and dirtier until they are re-built and thus clean again? I can undertand not wanting to pick up a $1000 note from INSIDE THE TOILET BOWL, but on the floor seems safe enough. Then again GP is referring to the ladies toilet, maybe the men's acheives a higher standard of cleanliness.

This made me LOL, probably more than it should have

yay!

GP you're nuts, i'd totally pick up $100 off the floor of a restroom. In fact i think i have before, wasn't that much. maybe a $50 or or a few $20s, but i remember seeing them, SLIGHTLY dampened and using the toilet paper to pick it up, rinsing it off and drying it. Kept it wrapped in even more toilet paper and washed my hands like i was prepping for surgeory. Whats wrong with that? Money is dirty anyway, why pass it up if its sitting on the floor.

Its like picking singles out of a dead/passed out strippers g-string... or something

Hey Uncle Bob, do you know what number I should call Nintendo at?  I surfed the site for awhile but wasn't able to find something in my quick search, thought you might have a better idea.

While I don't have them on speed dial, I do have them programmed into my phone... which is completely unnecessary, as I have their standard customer service number memorized. ;)

It should be printed on every single product they make.

Ah the benefits of plastic notes!

I do wonder if Maverick ever found the GBA's true owner and was successful in being able to return it to them. The story never got a proper conclusion.
