Title: Aces of the Galaxy
Post by: GoldenPhoenix on June 08, 2008, 12:50:26 AM
I highly recommend Star Fox fans check out Aces of the Galaxy for Xbox Live Arcade. The game plays almost identically to Star Fox 64 (Not a bad thing), and is a lot of fun as well. It is sad that what appears to be the  best Star Fox game since Star Fox 64 isn't even a Star Fox game!

Damn, now I have to find $400. I've wanted a 360 for a while, but a really good Star Fox clone is too hard to resist. Being almost broke sucks.

It's still not below 400$ where you live?

I don't want an Arcade, I want the hard drive. It may be $370 or something, but that really isn't much difference.

I will suggest that you should play the trial before you jump in a leap of faith worth of $400.

The Pro is $350. I think that the price of a game is a pretty big difference.

I want a lot of other stuff for the system too, this is just another thing on the pile.

$350 is better, I'll probably wait for $300 though.

Buy an Elite, I hear they have a better record of not breaking than the other models. I don't know if that is true or not but what most people say.

My Elite broke on me a few months back, took almost two months for MS to replace it.

I stand corrected.

It was a super odd problem too, it wasn't the red ring of death instead the system turned on (complete with the green light) but that is all it would do.

It's not true. Everything in the Elite is exactly the same as everything in the Pro.

Except for the extra 100GBs, and the HDMI output, and it's black for those that prefer their elctronics to have dark shells.

The current Pros have the HDMI output. Like I said, exactly the same. The only difference is the hard drive.

I've got a better idea. Why not just get Star Fox64 on the VC and save that $400?

I already have it, it's my 5th favorite game of all time and the only one of my 9 N64 VC games that is still on my Wii after my Wii Ware buying spree. I just want another game that's like it. Reasons for me to buy a 360 keep disappearing for me, though, most recently with the announcement of an NHL game for the Wii, so maybe I'll find a reason why I don't need this.
