Released in Japan last October, ASH is a strategy RPG developed by Racijn / Mistwalker Studios and directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, father of the Final Fantasy series. It features full voice acting, FMV sequences, and pre-rendered visuals for its battles. The game garnered fairly strong reviews upon release, receiving a 33/40 from Famitsu for instance, but achieved relatively weak sales.
ASH (short for Archaic Sealed Heat) chronicles the journey of Queen Aisha to unravel the mystery behind an ancient flame. This flame is responsible for destroying her kingdom and transforming her people into living ash.
Currently there is no official release date for ASH, nor are there any details about release in other territories.
Oh goody, another SRPG, just what the DS has been lacking! With no Fire Emblem game yet, yes, it's been lacking them. :D
There's no DS fire emblem? Not yet. One was announced late last year (set in the universe of the first three games; it's been assumed to be a remake of the first or third, based on screenshots showing Marth, but I don't think it's been officially announced), but there's been little news about it, much less a release.
I have heared that the cartridge for this game is around one GB in total size. I was wondering if they could release it in America as a 3DS title since those games for the 3DS will be around 2 GB each. It just makes sense.

So DS cards can now equal N64 game sizes.

"now" equal N64? The largest N64 game was 64MB (which was done by only two games: Conker's Bad Fur Day and Resident Evil 2), so DS passed it years ago.
I could go on and on...it all adds up eventually.
Actually the DS did have a FE game, FE Shadow Dragon which was a remake of the orginal FE game. In fact the upcoming FE game is just another remake, FEIII, and should be coming this year I think.
Any date for Ash? Might look into it.
Anyway, can we let this thread die now? Being reminded of yet another promising DS game that never left Japan is just depressing.

Maybe DSiWare? It's probably too big for that but I could see smaller titles come out on the Shop service.
I'm fairly certain the cap is due to technical limitations, and not just some arbitrary number.
