Jonny brings reinforcements, his friend Kevin Sylves, in a move to restore the natural order.
As would be expected, this prompts a lengthy new business. Games discussed included: Speed Racer, Mario Kart Wii, and the legendary return of LifeSigns!

Nothing like stereotypes on what a girlfriend or wife will like in gaming.
HOLY CRAP it's Karl. What you been up to, Viewtiful? Not too much. Now that school's out for the summer, I've been doing some contract editing for this media company out of LA. I'm not pulling down anything grand, but it puts a little more scratch in my pocket than otherwise. I'm working on something journalism-related as well.
YES, love the shout out to Zack McCracken and the Alien Mind Benders! My first true adventure game back in the DOS days, seriously an awesome game.
DOTT was godly. That is all.
The guy from wiinintendo.net posted a link to the show and stated "Kevin recounts his lengthy history with the genre, and we all discuss the future of Adventure games on Wii." Is that a typo or is he a part of the show?

The text in their article is lifted directly from the NWR article about this episode... i.e. exactly what it says at the top of this Talkback thread. Yes, my friend Kevin is a part of this episode. By the way, he is DrStiles on the forums (see his post above).
Indeed, one of Tim Schafer's many classics. Grim Fandango is also amazing, I highly recommend it. Just go on Wikipedia and find anything that guy was a part of and there is a 100% guarantee that it is awesome.

Yeah, I forgot about Grim Fandango too - very awesome. This is also one of the most critically acclaimed point-and-click adventure games ever made, for good reason. I actually did search Tim Schafer on wikipedia - now I'm even more interested in Psychonauts now that I know he was a part in it! Thanks Nick

I'd say Psychonauts had some issues as a platformer, jumps that simply required you to repeat them over and over until you finally landed it, but it was still a good game.

I don't remember having many issues with that, but then again I have played the game through at least 6 times at this point. For me, the world that was created in the game was so unique and compelling, I constantly wanted to be a part of it. The voice acting was top notch and the story was funny and interesting. It pretty much excelled in every regard I want a game to excel in.
