Title: Mini-games in Modern Games are Boring
Post by: theaveng on April 02, 2003, 01:43:34 PM
I haven't played any yet.  I assume *some* GameCube games have voice-overs?  Zelda/Mario/Smash Brothers Melee do not.  What about others?

Eternal Darkness had excellent voice acting- simply beautiful. Resident Evil also had voice acting, although it was nowhere near as good as ED's. I'm not sure about some of the RPG's, but it seems like teh extent of most "voiceovers" in Gamecube games is kept to nonsensical grunts and yells (like Metroid, Zelda, Mario, and Skies of Arcadia).

Sunshine did have voices. There isn't many cut scenes with it, but in all the major scenes the characters except for Mario did talk.

The PAL version of Metroid Prime features a very nice voice over during the introduction. You know the guy that does the voice over for movie trailers? I swear, it's him.

Anyway...

- Eternal Darkness
- Dark Summit
- Sonic Adventure 2: Battle

... I could be here a while.
