Title: Mario Kart in June?
Post by: The Omen on April 02, 2003, 11:40:00 AM
My dopey friend, who I previously mentioned in the 'other systems' forum under 'The end of the world', has told me that Mario Kart will be getting a release date of 'June'.  The only thing he said is NIN waiting to get closer to E-3.  So, at EB, (he's the manager) they've been given a vague heads up of around June.  He's told me it's definate, but can I believe somebody so ignorant to everything NIN.?

June is pretty soon. Hey that rhymes!

If your friend is "dopey" like you say he is, then odds are he doesn't really know anything.  June may be a tentative date but Nintendo has been known to obviously delay things multiple times.  Besides it would be pretty weird if F-Zero, which we've seen for quite a while now, would come out after Mario Kart which will likely make it's debut at E3.  Plus let's not forget that Mario Kart would likely come out in Japan first and since we haven't seen it yet it's likely not coming out here in June.

And stop calling Nintendo "NIN".  I'm getting it confused with Nine Inch Nails.

although that would fit into Nintendo's formula.. *if* it came out June-July then Nintendo would have Wario World, Mario Kart, and F-Zero in a 3 month period.. good looking games

I wouldn't expect it this June.  I'd be surprised if the Japanese version hit stores this June.  And for the American version, that would be unheard of.  If I had to, I'd say fall, earliest.
