20 consecutive years releasing the same game over and over again. EA is worse than Atari, I pray every night for another crash
Like a real one? No thanks, that is not the solution to the problem...

Yes it is. Soon after, the PS3 would only be bought as a blu-ray player and 360s only bought to heat up small arctic fishing boats, leaving Nintendo calling the shots with the large conglomerates and buying up the smaller, good third parties at bargain prices. The newly nintendo-controlled developers are worked like slaves, forced to produce nintendo-quality games.
Remember the golden age of gaming? Zelda, metroid, excitebike, ROB, game boy, tetris, playing with super power, nintendo cereal and cartoons? Nintendo monopoly = good

Well I think we defined the crash differently, the crash happened a few years before Nintendo entered the market.

I dare you to play a Madden from 10, or even 5, or even 3 years ago and tell me it's the same thing. They add things, they refine things, they tweak things. It's probably not enough of a change year to year to warrant a purchase every year (though I somehow seem to always end up getting it, sometimes in multiple forms), but it does change and evolve over time.
As for NFL Head Coach, the first one's GameRankings average was in the low 60s depending on which platform you look at, so unless they made some big improvements it doesn't matter if it comes to the Wii or not.

You're fooling yourself if you think the industry is anywhere close to crashing.
EDIT: And you don't know your game industry history. Apart from E.T. and Pac Man Atari was making quality games until the end, as was, funny enough, Activision. The problem was that Atari didn't have the forethought to put a security lock on the system, and once Activision won their lawsuit it opened up door for any company that could program and manufacture cartridges to make games for the 2600. The huge amounts of bad software that quickly went into bargain bins and because of that took business away from the companies making good games (Activision and Atari), causing the crash, came from the small, independent developers. By your logic EA is preventing a crash by consolidating everything, not moving toward one.

There are changes every single year to the Madden franchise, if you only take enough time to document them and do a little field study. I fully expect Madden '15 to have sprouted opposable toes and milk glands.

Thank you for putting the image of John Madden with those evolutionary characteristics into my head. I know that wasn't the intent, but it was the result.

So... NFL Head Coach. It sounds like an RTS or a Sim. Any reason why we would want it on the Wii?

I think the point is that Head Coach is pure crap, and sold like crap too.

Wow. You know how one time I said that one way to send a thread to Hell is by having some Unclebob or Pro666 randomness? This thread is proof of that...
But really, what's the big deal about Coach 09? Like I said, this thread is so thick in sarcasm and EA hate that its hard to tell whether we should be glad or not...

Kotaku is reporting that Madden 09 has been canned for the PC all together. Why let PC gamers enjoy the extra shelf space?
