Title: How long does it take to confirm a friend code?
Post by: BranDonk Kong on March 17, 2008, 10:50:17 AM
I added 41 people 2 days ago, several of which I know have added my code as well...but all of the names still say "awaiting confirmation" or whatever. This is lame. Friend codes = failure.

Friend codes is failure. The problem is that we both have to be online at the same time for friend codes to register. :/ Totally LAME. I would almost recommend the system S_B keeps talking about. http://smashboards.com/ff/ . That thing will get you a few matches once you figure out how to use it.

I wish there were a way to be online in the background. I added a ton of people, but I'm only online when I'm playing a match, so almost everyone (everyone but Uncle Bob, I believe) is still unregistered.

Daisy and Simon Belmont and Mega Man aren't playable.
Yeah but Peach basically turns into daisy with one of her costumes.

The costume is pretty much wrong.
Another problem is it's Peach underneath.
And she doesn't behave like Daisy.

If I am not mistaken, the Daisy costume in Melee was more detailed and truer to the original design. Peach even wore short gloves and the dress was different. Brawl's costume is basically a color swap, which is a disappointment.

I've used it to good success, and I've gotten some matches with basically zero lag in them as a result (only 1 on 1, though).
I've played maybe 3-5 matches with NWR folks. Most of them were laggy as hell, but c'est la vie. Most of the NWR folks are still "awaiting" on my list as well. Since there's no real way to sit idle on Brawl without being logged into the game unless you sit there staring at the friend list.

I think everyone hates me because no one comes online when I'm online.
I feel the same way...

I think I hate everyone because I never go online when everyone else is online.

I think I hate everyone because I can't play online at school. Boo!! Easter break is coming up though and I'll be ready for some online action. (of getting meh behind handed to me) Sadly I'll be at the tail end of the Friend Code list= phailz

I've played two different non-NWR Ohio opponents with no lag... both times adding them and seeing them show up online was instantaneous (we were swapping codes over the phone).
One match was one on one... the other was three players via two Wii systems.
To bad you can't take the same multiple people per console route when playing "anyone".
