The funny thing is that during the weekend I read a news story about how the creator of Layton was discussing the series when someone asked if he would like to see Layton being featured in SSB 4.

I haven't played the game, but the more new characters in SSB, the better.

If the game had come out a few months earlier, he could certainly have been a trophy, alongside with Kyle Hyde, Ashley Robbins, and the EBA.
