Title: metroid prime - chozo ruins - big plant with directv dishes and sunlight...

i'm just getting started in metroid prime. love the game but taking a while getting used to the strafing and looking up and down. anyway, i'm having trouble with one of the bosses in the chozo ruins. it's the big plant with little directv dish-looking things that reflect sunlight onto it. it takes me about 2 seconds to blow up the 1st one, roll into the ball, and then roll down the trench and blow up a bomb. i assume you're supposed to do the same thing to the other 2 dishes, but i can't figure out for the life of me how to do it to the other two. any hints/help here?

When you first enter the room only one of the dishes falls down to reflect light. once you set the first bomb two will drop and you have to push both back up before you can set another bomb. Basically you have to make sure all dishes are pushed up so they are'nt reflecting light on him before you can bomb him. He will try to keep knocking them back down so make it quick.

the 1st dish kind of exploded and the thing blocking the trench withered away. will this happen if the 2 dishes are pushed back?

Yes,u need to keep doing that.It gets gradually harder and harder as u have to do 1 dish,then 2,then 3 then all 4. Roll into the ball and bomb it when the plant-tentacle retracts.Then run along and shoot the next 2 mirrors down.Keep that up until Flaagrah is dead......
