Title: RE: Mario Kart: Double Dash Tourney Results
Post by: NewsBot on March 06, 2004, 01:47:12 PM
Nintendo NCL hosted a MK:DD tournament in February, and its web site has the amazing results.

Last month Nintendo hosted a Mario Kart: Double Dash time trial contest in Japan.  Nintendo recently posted the results for the four tracks chosen on its official website.

In a breath-taking display of skill, Mario Kart guru Nobuo Takagi  won all four competitions.  His ace up the sleeve was his complete mastery of the power slide, transforming the commonly-used maneuver to something resembling the “snaking” bug found in F-Zero GX.  Be amazed at the four videos below:

Luigi Circuit - 1:16:910
Baby Park - 1:05:963
Mario Circuit - 1:29:317
Yoshi Circuit - 1:44:323

*pale starts practicing some more*

But seriously, I have been trying to take down berto's score over on my site....  I have it so I can do one extra power slide on each straight on Baby Park but not two.  Berto is pretty damn good but this guy still beat him by 6 seconds...my best score right now is 1:14..... eesh...Berto's is 1:11..you can see it below...
