Title: GAMBOY ADVANCE SP LIGHT PROBLEM
Post by: darthbane2k on March 29, 2003, 12:09:01 PM
I recenly bought a gameboy advance sp but fear I have a problem with the lighting. The light doesnt seem even, when I hold the unit at the side , there is a triangular area of the left side of screen that is significantly darker than the rest of the screen, its as if the front light doesnt work at all within that area. Although when I hold the screen face on towards me it appears fine, its only at side angle I notice this glare.

I saw ur picture.....and I would suggest that you take it back and get another. I tried mine in complete darkness as well and saw everything perfectly, the whole screen was lit evenly. Although the screen is lit evenly, the same corner on mine is a tiny bit brighter, but made no difference in the full lighting.

That's simply the way the light is reflecting from the angle you're holding it. Nothing to worry about at all.

why would you hold it from the side anyway?

lol, good point. However, this is perfectly normal, I realized this about mine when my sis took it and was playing on the other sofa, and as far as I'm concerned, if it doesn't affect it when I'm playing, it'll be fine.

Nothing is wrong with it and if you're playing it from the side you need some lessons on playing.

mine looks the exact same from the same angle, I never noticed it till you pointed it out though, I would never play that way though so it should not be an issue for me.
