Title: Basketball Games for Gamecube
Post by: zekermit on March 28, 2003, 06:09:13 PM
I am going to be selling my Madden 2003 and getting a basketball game, but I have never had a basketball game for gamecube or N64 so I don't know what to get. I don't really want an arcade type, but I'm open to pretty much anything. I would prefer a more realistic simulation. For those that do, I would be very grateful for some help. This is kinda a poll but I hope it won't get banded. Thanks.

Well, if you want realistic 5-on-5, I have NBA 2K2 and its pretty good. However, I've found that I like NBA Street even more. Its 3-on-3 and is a little more arcade style, but its really fun. You can usually find it ~ $15 too.

NBA street! It's fantastic. The controls are great and easy to grasp. It was my first bastetball game. I plan on getting the sequel.

nba 2k3, hands down for simulation. However, with friends we often play nba live 2003 or nba street. NBA 2k3 is great if you really want to get down and dirty into some real basketball.

NBA2k3 is probably the best basketball simulation to date. Since Sega pulled their sports line-up you can usually find it for about $15-$20 new. I bought it at Babbages a month ago for $20 and I recently seen it at Best Buy for $15. I'd also get NBA Street, it's sad that it doesn't have 4-player mode, but you can usually find it for $20... so you can get the two best basketball games for GameCube for $40 or less.
