Oh man, for every good game Atlus brings over, they pick up like ten rubbish dumps.

But it's got INSECTS! GIANT LASER-SHOOTING BEETLES!!!

... surely a game with giant mechanical snails can't be that bad can it?

It would be amazing if it was anything other than a turn-based strategy RPG!

I'd like to see them remake X-Com with insects armies on all sides.

I'd like to see "them" remake X-Com competently for the DS at all, but they won't do it because they know I'd never need to buy another game ever again.

All these strategy games are pouring onto the DS now when it should have been like this a year and a half ago, it's not that these games won't be fun, but given the fact that so many srpgs are being released now it's over saturation. I mean, another Front Mission was just announced for the ds, now it just feels like more of the same. : (

That's because third parties lack foresight, and are almost always late to the party. It took the DS AGES to get third-party acceptance and support, and third parties could've capitalized on that market much sooner. I mean... freaking PING PALS sold 100,000 units! It was a PICTO-CHAT REPLACEMENT and it sold 100,000 UNITS!!! Imagine if third parties had just... been a tiny eensy weensy bit more ambitious?

And now we're seeing the same thing with the Wii. Third parties have to BREAK the curve, not be in line with it, if they really want to reap the rewards.

PictoChat sold so well because people knew the same developers would go on to make Contra 4 years later. "We must support this quality product!" they screamed, while wearing their Virtual Boy helmets. "One day we will be rewarded!" Sadly everyone who purchases Ping Pals got sat on by a rampaging elephant the day before Contra 4 launched.
