I have to be honest, Ubisoft's Imagine Bowel Cancer series interests me. Not in the wow gotta play them kinda way (unless..), but how they tend to mix them up a bit. Some are developed especially for Ubisoft by the lowest of the low budget European developers, Imagine Master Chef was by a Korean developer (which rips off the look of Cooking Mama pretty well!) and others seem to simply be translated versions of existing Japanese games. So when Ubisoft announced IMAGINE FIGURE SKATER the other day with no supporting screenshots or anything, I had to dedicate a few minutes of my life to get a scoop. A SCOOP NWR.

Diving into my box art folder (1,164 jpegs don't mess), I pressed F. F for Fred, TOP DOLLAR! And yes, it turns out that Imagine Figure Skater is going to be a localized version of 2007 GOTY Figure de KiraKira Koori no Angel. Developed by Spike.

Hot diggety! I've been waiting for a figure skating game FOREVER!!! Where'd you find the press release?

... but how exactly did you find that this is a localization of Spike's game Infernal Monkey? I see the feature list, I see the box art... how did you put two and two together?

FYI, here's a gametrailers page for "Spinning Princess"...

Shouldn't this game be called Imagine... Figure Zkater?

Don't they replace all the "s"s with z's?

Kairon is Canadian, albeit I will say that he must be from a specific region of Canada that totally loves figure skating over any other sport...and I'm being quite serious, just in case you doubted my words.

Press release was from ToTheGame which has since updated slightly with the developer (which really would have made it easier to match these in the first place ;__; ) and the games rating for America and Europe. Matching them up was pretty easy, I just chucked the Japanese name into Google and got a neat little YouTuuuuube video that matches the English PR perfectly. Three characters, story mode, mini-games, stuff. =) The 3D seems a tad ugly even for the DS, but hey.

Ubisoft's changed the girls to trannies confirmed. Also they'll be skating near the edge of the planet, while avoiding flowers being thrown by a drunken God. GOTY!?

Whoa whoa I HIGHLY APPROVE of this new custom title! =D

in any case, quite interesting that the box has no WFC logo, yet below the ESRB rating reads "Game Experience May Change During Online Play"
