Awesome! Now kids can play a lawnmowing game and neglect their real life lawnmowing duties! What's next, a clean your room simulator? A take out the trash simulator? Oh! How about a empty the litterbox scenario? That would be a cool use for the wii mote.

Too late for that, it's called Chibi-Robo.

Um, what? This is already out? It can't be. Where's the impressions? I've never seen this anywhere. I want to be sure it exists before purchasing it.

You're right. Those of you who mock this game for being casual or boring need to read the book "Lawnmower Man" by Stephen King. That will let you know there is more to lawnmowing than cutting grass.

I love the first line of the synopsis:
"Ever had dreams of being the Head Grounds keeper at a stately home?"
No. Who the f*ck ever has? I HATE mowing the lawn. I consider it one of the most irritating chores.
The world has to realize Wii Sports succeeded because it simulated activities people actually like to do in real life.

Actually I was thinking of Brain Dead here.

Hank Hill seems to enjoy mowing his lawn. Also, the description says you can customize your lawnmower in various ways. Some people would like it just for that element.
Seriously, I WOULD give this game a try, but only if it were like $9.99 or less. That said, this would probably be better suited as a WiiWare game.

This is not true because people avoided physical activity before Wii Sports.

Now that I own my own house, I actually enjoy mowing the lawn. It's only a chore when you're a kid and your parents make you do it, when you mow it as you feel like it, it's enjoyable.

Speak for yourself. I own my own house, and it's still a chore. I'd even say it's worse now. Fortunately, I have a nephew I can pay to mow my lawn.

I'm with PartyBear. The truth is I NEVER feel like it so it's just as big of a pain as it used to be. I can put it off for weeks and still hate doing it. The only advantage is my house has a much smaller yard than my parents' house.
I think Brandogg is one of THOSE people. You know what I mean. That guy who on the first slightly decent looking day of the year cranks up his mower thus making us lazy mowers look bad and putting pressure on us to start mowing ourselves. I used to HATE hearing that sound because I knew my Mom's nagging voice wasn't far behind. Currently that isn't an issue since I live alone but in time the nagging voice will come from a wife. I hate neighbours who enjoy working their butt off. I hate the early lawn mower. I hate the early leaf raker. I hate the frequent house painter. I want everyone in my neighbourhood to live in a dump and be content with the more free time such a lifestyle allows.
My brother's theory is that Hank Hill type people who like doing chores do so because they're constantly bored and lack the creativity to amuse themselves some other way. I don't like mowing the lawn because there's always at least something else I COULD be doing that I'd rather be doing. The guy who mows his lawn during a heatwave when all the grass is dead must not have something else to do.

Well if you consider it from a lawnmower fans point of view, this game would be a godsend. Since you can only mow the lawn every few weeks, this game could keep you satisfied in the mean time.

Honestly, it sounds like it could work as a puzzle game. If you look at it abstractly, it's a game of determining the best path to cover a defined area. It's like Q*bert Kart.

"Since you can only mow the lawn every few weeks, this game could keep you satisfied in the mean time."
Every few weeks? *Looks at Mario's profile* Oh you're from Australia so that makes sense. Here in the Pacific Northwest it rains a whole lot and makes the grass grow so mowing the lawn even once a week is slacking off depending on the time of year. Anyone who doesn't understand exactly why mowing the lawn irritates me needs to understand that where I live no one waters the lawn because you don't have to. If you watered it the damn grass would overtake your house.
No wonder Hank Hill loves mowing. He lives in TEXAS! I'm sure mowing your lawn 10 times in an entire year is loads of fun.

That theory makes sense. I've seen the show many times, but I've never seen Hank play video games (in fact he scolds Bobby for it). Come to think of it, Hank isn't really interested in books or movies either. His main forms of entertainment are watching sports, selling propane, drinking beer in the alley, and (of course) mowing his lawn.
This game would be perfect for him

There was an episode where he got addicted to a GTA-themed vidya game about delivering propane, it was pretty funny. Google "Grand Theft Arlen"

He also likes playing guitar and kicking as s when he needs to.
I feel bad for you guys. I've never even SEEN a lawnmower. Lets hear it for apartment buildings!

My lawn needs it about once a week. We don't get as much rain, but that just means we have to water our lawns so they don't die off and get overgrown with weeds that then have to be mowed anyway. Hank Hill types, of course, work hard to water and fertilize their lawns so they can have the pleasure of mowing even more often.

When I own my own house, I am never EVER going to mow my front yard.
The back yard.......well that's a different story....

Now I get that this is a total joke, but in all seriousness they could make a totally awesome game out of this concept. Something along the lines of Katamari Damacy I'm thinking. You would have to mow at least x amount of lawn to pass and you would have to do it in specific patterns. You could also do edging and trimming trees/bushes/etc. I can totally see it. If done right with the proper humor, it has potential for greatness.
