Title: Gamespot gives WW a 9.3, you agree?
Post by: Sion441 on March 26, 2003, 06:49:22 AM
Not that 9.3 is so low, but it seems a bit on the low end in comparison to most of the reviews. For those that already have the game, what would you rate it?

How would I rate this game? A great game, that's all that matters. NEXT!

Sometimes people only see things as being games and don't see the dreams underneath it, the people that love it. That brings it out.
Plus I think their a bunch of pissants that are just reluctant to give a nonXbox game a good score (only mostly kidding).

If it got below a 9.0 out of 10.0, then I think they were on crack. But a 9.3 is a very good score, maybe its a little lower than most others who have reviewed the game, but they may have payed more attention to its short comings, and tried to weigh those in as they saw fit. I have played the game for a few hours, and am starting to really get into it. Cant wait to get home from work so I can start playing again. I would personally give it a 9.5 so far. Best game out on Cube? We'll have to wait and see.

It annoys me. . . one guy at EGM gave WW a 9.5 just for the sailing (the other 2 loved it), yet Vice City got all 10's, I think. I find it hard to believe that Vice City has absolutely no flaws, and if it does, it's probably not flaws that some people actually like. He should have mentioned it, but sitll given it a ten, in my opinion, if that was his only big problem.

Do I agree with it? Of course not. It's not that 9.3 is all that low, but simply because GameSpot's score is the lowest score for Zelda that I know of. Couple that with the fact that VASTLY inferior games were better according to them. (MGS2, GTA VC for example).

This is one of the only games i have ever played that deserves 10. GTAVC, while fun, did not. Wind Waker is the best game that is available to the human race. I think ten would be limiting, but this is just my opinion. Also i LOVE the zelda series, but not as much as other folks, but this game is just perfect. Anything less than ten is a joke and merely people TRYING to find flaws, rather than talking on the game as a game. I agree, they were a little rough on it in many sites.

I agree with the Gamespy score of 97, I think that most of their complaints is mostly just nitpicking. If I was a reviewer I would give it a 10. This game just has so much going for it, just like most epics. I don't really have any complainst so far and it seems that the more I play it, the more I love the game. While Metroid Prime was awesome, this is what a System Seller should be.

If gamespot gives Vice City a perfect score than they are totally useless. Its practically Criminal to give it a better score than Zelda or Metroid.
I thought that Vice City really sucked, and while thats my opinion, it certainly didnt have much innovation, very good graphics or anything else revolutionary, how can that be a perfect game?
What did they give Metroid Prime?

Uhmm, sorry, but if you thinked Vice City sucked then your opinion is pretty much useless. No one can honestly say that the game "sucked" or anything close to that. Don't be such a fanboy
