Title: Ontamarama, the latest game I hate myself for not pre-ordering
Post by: Kairon on November 09, 2007, 09:13:20 AM
To begin with, it's an Atlus title.

+1

It's also a lot like Ouendan EBA.

+1,000,000

And you have to alternate between tapping icons on the bottom screen in time with music, as well as pressing scrolling directional commands that appear on the top screen, also to music.

Here's a video.

I wish I had had the foresight to pre-order this game so that I could've supported awesome Atlus!

From what I read the tapping isn't done in rythm with the music and that really hurts the game.

That kinda sucks then. I liked the music in that video though.

.....

It's not meant to be in rhythm.  That's the point.  Your hands have to be independent of each other.

That's meant to be the difficult twist on the game.

So it's MEANT to be like patting your head and rubbing your belly?

You harvest with your right and keep in time with your left (unless there's a way to flip it for lefties).

That was the whole point of the game.

Ahhh, gamers.  The most difficult to please people in the entertainment industry.

Three near-identical games just isn't enough, I suppose.

I don't see how doing that is "hard."  It's not.
