What about Pikmin 2, Kirby's Air Ride, and 1080 Snowboarding Avalanche?

Pikmin 2 isn't BBA compatible, is it?!?

*edit* - You're making that Pikmin 2 part up... No where on the internetz does it say Pikmin 2 is BBA compatible.

Not amazing, per say.  Just finally have me two fully equipped GameCubes (Game Boy Player + Broadband Adapter + Component Video Cables) and Two copies of Mario Kart: Double Dash for LAN play.

Why 2 Gameboy players? Or are you obsesive compulsive and both have to be equal?

I actually do have 5 WaveBirds.

Anywhoo, I call them complete, as you can use the BBA in place of the Modem, but the BBA is more useful.  Additionally, who needs a mobile monitor when I have a 37" TV to connect it to.

Now... what I really want is one of those Mobile Monitors that Nintendo used at one of the trade shows (E3?) that plugged into the Digital Video port.... *drool*

Two Game Boy Players for Multi-Player Game Boy Games.  Now, if only I had four...

Crimm, that's some crazy crap you've got goin' on there.  Please detail.

Genesis had about a million add-ons.  This guy just took em and stacked 'em, including multiple of some units.

Fun fact, most of the add-ons needed their own power supply.  Good luck finding a plug for your Genesis, the Sega CD, the 32x, and your TV.
Bonus fact, the Genesis, CD, and 32x had the big block plugs, blocking access to the socket.

Oh, they're not yours.

So, here's how frickin' awesome this set up is.

Wii Connected to 37" TV playing Four Swords Adventures.
2 GameCubes with 2 Game Boy Players connected to Wii with 2 GBA/GCN cables, one to a 13" TV and one to a Mobile Monitor.

I need two more Game Cubes.  Donors?

Pikmin 2 was supposed to be BBA compatible.  I guess they took out the functionality, but I remember reading that in a preview here.

Question: With all those addons, would the game on the very top still play? What would the machine do if you turned it on?

I'm assuming it wouldn't, as I'm sure the cleaning kit doesn't actually have anything electronic inside of it...

Good point. Well, without the cleaning kit I mean.

You'd also have to lose one of the Sonic & Knuckles cartridges, it definitely work with two of them like that.

My friends and I got a 16 player game of Double Dash going once.....once.  It was quite awesome, especially when you had those players that weren't that good at DD, but could sit shotgun and fire off a few turtle shells or dodge last second banana drops.

16 players, 16 controllers (9 wavebirds/7 normal), 4 TV's, 4 cubes, 4 MKD games, 4 BBA's, 3 ethernet cables, 1 memory card, 30 minutes of set up, 8 large pizza's, 4 two liter bottles of soda, and 3 hours of fun.

Actually you can plug a game into the Cleaning kit.

Isn't that Sonic game the one where you can insert Knuckles into another Sonic game, so you would need one with the other?

Sigh, that beings back memories of the hotswap with Banjo Kazooie that never worked out.

Oh yeah, and mark this day as the day UncleBob added an avatar that is visible!

The most I ever managed to play was a nine-player game.  Lord, it was a ton of fun, but the random characters and lame split-screen restrictions kind of put a damper on it.  Since it was kind of a pain to set up, we really never did it again after that initial experiment.  We were into LAN Halo at the time, so we just went back to that.

Conclusion: 13 player Halo > 9 player Mario Kart

The random characters thing in Mario Kart is super-lame. I wonder why they did that?

I'm pretty sure it says "bonus disc". I guess we didn't get it in PAL regions.

Yeah, the second discs are the "Bonus Disc", they were only available for pre-orders and first shipments of the game.

Those people were hyping themselves up to get bought out by a bigger company and then everyone figured out they were small time and not associated with anyone. Nothing ever came of it.

Well... I can do five screen Four Swords Adventures - Using the Wii as a 'cube.

Unfortunately, as my Wii is unmodded and can't play JPN games, I'm SOL for playing Four Swords Plus on it. :(

Even if you don't want to do a softmod, in principle, you could use a savegame exploit to launch a region-free launcher to boot the game.  Too bad the swap trick no longer works as you wouldn't need any special software.

Four Swords Plus is a GameCube title - it's the Japanese release of Four Swords Adventures, but includes Tetra's Trackers.

I can play Four Swords Adventures on the Wii and connect the GameCubes to it using the Game Boy Players, but I can't play Four Swords Plus on it, since it won't play Japanese games. :(
