It's a clever idea, but it sucks the life out of the medium: bad spelling and pictures of cats are only part of the equation, the most important part is inspiration - something you won't get from 10 different pictures of cats with Wii controllers and a TV showing Geometry Wars.

lolcats are an internet culture thing, and they're generally done when pictures of cats are taken at just the right moment that a funny caption can be added.

Attempting to bend that to marketing purposes just doesn't work.
