Title: The Blinking Blue Light
Post by: Pale on September 23, 2007, 11:09:44 AM
So, everyone knows that the blue light on the Wii turns on when you get a message (assuming you have WiiConnect24 on).

I swear, when I first got my Wii (at launch) the light very evenly faded in brightness up and down.

Now it seems the light fades evenly up to high brightness, but then flickers a couple times and goes dim.  Is this something that changed in an update?  It annoys me.  What does your blue light do?

The light situation you describe is exactly the same as my own.  It was even, not it seems to have some bizarre cadence.

There are FOUR LIGHTS, and you can't change my mind.

In case the light was glowing it was because I finally sent you my Mii, Pale.

I finally added you on my Wii.

As for the blinking, on my case it varies. Sometimes the light flicks bright and dim while sometimes it gets very bright and them goes dim again.

I think it might be a normal thing as the system receives data.

Don't worry, sooner or later someone somewhere will get a seizure from it and the light will go back to fading in and out....

Yes, the new message light is very annoying.

Makes it more eye catching.

If you read your messages, the light will not annoy any longer than necessary.  kaboom.
