Can you send tracks to your friends?  I have a desire to create the most sadistic race track in the history of mankind.

I want a track that makes men swear, that makes children weep, that would be banned from racing circuits, that would cut short lives.

Well from the screen shots you can freehand draw the track on a grid simmilar to DKR DS...and you get to drop in custom graphics from a menu...like trees, mountains, buildings.....    but like I said that IGn link has the most info about the game I can find.

Awesome, a 20 minute lap. Hope thats possible.

This is one of my most anticipated games, mainly because of how awesome the console series is. I hope it translates well to handheld, the graphics certainly look awesome, but it's really hard to tell how it'll control. I'll be picking this up day 1.

PS2 and Xbox. Its a pretty big deal to be coming to a Nintendo system for the first time, shows promise for a Wii version if this sells well. There's Race Driver 1, 2 and 3 (3 being the best). Thats just what its called in the USA though I think, in Europe its TOCA Race Driver, and in Australia V8 Supercars.

Sadly, all I own are Nintendo systems.... NES, SNES, N64, Wii, GBA, and DS.  I just don't get other systems b/c Nintendo ones have more games I want to play.

So with your history with the console versions....will the  DS title be good?

This game wasn't really on my radar till yesterday.  I enjoy building and designing things, so this all looks very fun to me.

I also enjoy needless sadism, so my horrible tracks will reap fear.

User generated content seems to be a increasingly popular thing on the DS. Lookout web 2.0!

Went in just as they were unpacking the games from the novelty cardboard box. SUPER FUN HAPPY SLIDE QUICK IMPRESSIONS!

- Seems much more forgiving than the console versions when it comes to car damage. During the muscle car F-Zero GP I slammed my car into so many walls. .
- Graphics are very impressive, runs at 60FPS, some nice detail on the cars, viewing distance is good (nothing really pops up out of nowhere like magic).
- Loading is intense, Zelda rap and so forth. Why is a cartridge game loading anyway lololol?
- Jumped into the track editor for a few seconds, gonna need to check out the manual for this!
- Things!

I'll post my Fiend Code later on!

Track editor is simple what's to read about. Haven't delved too much into it yet but it gives you a lot of freedom and you can create some massive tracks, i've made one 3 minute one so far. Handling felt a bit weird at first after playing the console one so much, but its very fun. Braking points seem dead on realistic but the car slides around a bit more. Dpad isn't as big a problem as I thought it'd be, it just gets annoying sometimes trying to straighten the car up on straights and getting through fast long turns smoothly, it can disrupt your flow. One bad thing about it compared to the PS2 version is the AI is a bit wild and weird, the actual racing / overtaking is a bit lame, and the damage is a lot more forgiving.

It's pretty fantastic how much they've squeezed into this little cartridge.

After more play I really wish this was on Wii instead, any negatives I have with it basically come down to the DS system limitations. I hope for the Wii version they get the proper dev team to make it rather than farm it down to Firebrand. Time to realise who the market leader is third parties, Wii having zero good racers even ANNOUNCED after an entire year is beyond a joke

EDIT: However, the DS only modes like Creating Tracks and Wifi are absolutely fantastic. Sucks how hardly anyone is online though, the game is flopping, only on a Nintendo system could such an incredible third party game bomb like this. You keep enjoying your Diddy Kong Racing nintards.

Also my code is 348006072287

Is there a physical limit to the sadism one can create via the track editor?  That's a deal-breaker.
