The Wii game, currently code-named "PQRS," is an action puzzle hybrid that "blends the creativity of the building-blocks game Jenga with the charm of a Saturday-morning cartoon," according to Croal. The game will allow players to manipulate blocks with the Wii remote in a way to where it will feel like an extension of your own hand. (Interestingly enough, Atari just made a Jenga game for Wii and DS official earlier this week.)
Of the game, Spielberg said, "it just seemed like a great thing for the entire family to play together over Christmas. Although you don't need the excuse of a holiday to enjoy it."
Newsweek also learned of another Spielberg game in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Code-named "LMNO," it is said to be a combination of the movies North by Northwest and E.T. wherein the player character needs to buddy up with a woman, and the decisions that are made will affect the ways the two help each other out.
Electronic Arts will be publishing three games from Spielberg in the deal, including the two announced here. The third game is still being kept under wraps. Perhaps EA will be showing all three at E3 next week?
