Yup a new harvest moon, my sister pointed it out to me in Nintendo Power. Love the art work but I'm clueless how this will turn out, dungeon crawler/farm simulation = wtf?

Like Monster Rancher 4... Which means I may be interested in this game. Definitely a rent.

Does anyone else have this game?
I got it for Christmas and started getting into it last week. It was really slow at first, like any other HM game, but now that I'm halfway through the first Spring, I feel like the game has a really good balance. There's a ton of stuff to do, and you can decide how to play the game. In addition to farming and fighting, there are also skills for logging, mining, fishing, forging, decorating, cooking, camping, pharmacy, and some others I'm forgetting. Right now, my character is really high in farming, swordfighting, and mining, medium in fishing and logging, and zero at everything else, because I haven't gotten a chance to do them yet.
The greatest thing in the game is the HP and RP meter. Now you'll never pass out because you know how much energy your character has! This should have been implemented years ago.
It's not perfect, though. Natsume still hasn't done a totally accurate translation, though there isn't nearly as much Engrish as there used to be. Fighting takes a while to get used to. Some stuff really isn't explained well, like how to unlock the next cave, or what you need to do to learn to cook. And of course making friends is an exercise in experimentation and patience, unless you consult a FAQ that tells you what everyone likes.
There's also some WiFi connectivity, but I have no idea what it's for. I'll write down my friend code later and make a thread in the WFC section, in case anyone wants to see what it's all about with me.

This game is good. It's a go big or go home though, as in, don't rent. To much to do and experience to fit in a rental.
