Title: So, how about that Mii popularity channel, eh?
Post by: NWR_pap64 on April 30, 2007, 02:52:46 PM
If I am not mistaken, a while back there was a news story that said that Wii owners in Japan had gotten a Wiimail about the Mii popularity channel Miyamoto mentioned briefly at his GDC keynote coming sometime during the end of April.
Well, the month ends today and no word of it.
If only Nintendo would just give details about their channels rather than be cryptic about. I admit the reason I am so curious about this channel is because they have said NOTHING about it since GDC. The worst part? It will probably be a throwaway addition like the "Everybody Votes" channel, so I don't understand why there's so much secrecy about it.
Oh well, we'll see when it hits.

Because there's more important things to report about? Like the stockholder's report, the Pokemon craze rearing its ugly head (sit down Pokemon fans), and first party games that may actually come out this year (Australia doesn't count, we're used to it).

-We all know that Nintendo is making a lot of money -We all know that Pokemon is making Nintendo a lot of money -Some of the 2007 releases might be delayed
Seriously, what's wrong on getting some new info on an announced channel? I know there are some important announcements, but that doesn't mean that I will stop being curious about this channel.

The real travesty is being cryptic about crap no one will care about.
If I was going to be cryptic about something, I'd at least make sure 7 of 10 people or so would likely give a sh*t.

I honestly don't know if you are with me or against me on this one :P .
But seriously, that is what annoying me about the whole thing. This channel seems like a nice extra that will likely grow old in a day or two, but they can't help but being cryptic about it.
