Title: Animal Crossing IRL sucks...

As some of you know, I recently purchased a house.
Which means I have to mow the lawn. This sucks worse than pulling weeds in Animal Crossing. The Game Cube version... that save file that hasn't been played in years.
Screw this crap. I'm astroturfing.

But... carrying your neighbors Game Boy that one of your other neighbors borrowed back to the neighbor who owns it is still fun though, right? Or do they not give you enough free wallpaper to cover your whole living room as a reward in real life?
Oh and have you found any gyroids buried in your backyard yet?

I actually wondered about getting enough of the special wire to wire the entire neighborhood and then charge those neighbors to have their yard mowed. There's probably 15 other houses on my block. I'll go cheap and charge $10 a house. $150 a week, so in ten weeks, I'll have it paid off...

Do what my neighbors did. They turned almost their entire frontyard into a garden area. They put an extended patio over much of the backyard and planted bamboo in the extreme back.
They have very little grass left to mow; that was their plan.

Anyone notice this thread was bumped exactly 1 year after the last reply? Oh, and mowing isn't bad if you have an engine-propelled mower.

You know, the fact that it was *exactly* one year after the last reply is kinda neat, but it actually makes sense. I started this thread last year when I first had to mow. I revived it again this year when I first had to mow. We just have to start mowing around the same time each year. ;)

Yeah it's like 8 months on and 4 months off. I'm too lazy to keep up with the edging and what-not in those 4 "off" months, so the first mowing is actually a real bitch. My daughter is only 2, so I still have another year or so before she gets to take over for me, while I sit in the hammock and drink myself into a coma.

I hate mowing mine to. I have to dodge the electric cord of the mowerand I forget where I mowed. This week its really bad because I haven't gotten to mow it sense the baby came and everytime I get the time it rains enough so I have to wait. If it wasn't so tall I probably could mow it because it rained around 2 but because its tall it stays wet longer...

You have an electric mower? That's insane. I hate to say it, but electric lawn tools = phailure. My Grandfather bought me a battery powered weedwacker, it broke, I exchanged it, then I threw it away and bought a gas powered one. The electric one was more like a weed-annoyer, it would kind of just slap them around without doing too much harm, and then the line would break.

This sounds familiar. My brother managed to get the electric cable chopped up by the mower blade.

I have a small lawn and its never bogged down. I just mowed slightly wet about 4 inches tall grass.
