Title: Panasonic or Goldstar?
Post by: segagamer12 on March 15, 2007, 01:02:26 PM
I am considering hunting down an old 3do system, for various reasons. What I amc urious is which model is better? I won't even consider the Sanyo model so its between the Goldstar and Panasonic models. I used to have some controllers and other random stuff ofr 3Do a long time ago but I sold it all.

Does any one have any info on either of these systems? Besdies the wikipedia crap cuz that dont help at all.

Not sure what that is. I mostly want one cuz I am a video game collector and want to play the Super Street Fighter II, among other  games, that made thier way to the system. But also for the new website I am working on.

If you want to play Super Street Fighter 2 (Turbo, better yet), then try MAME or Final Burn...

Well theres more to it than that, like I said I need it for my website. Plus I dont beleive in ROMS they are illegal and immoral from my point of view.

If you're patient, Star Control 2 is one of the best video games ever made (it's my favorite, by far).  It's a cult classic that never gets old; I've played through it at least six or seven times, and I still get a huge kick out of it.

I used the Panasonic version in 1997

Friend won it and a 900 dollar mountain bike, even thu it wasnt released in Australia

I dont know about the goldstar version, but it sounds dodgy just by the brand name
also remember 3DO can use Genesis/megadrive controls, just not as the linking control

That was one aspect I wasnt sure on thanks for calrifying. I knew that they used the same plugs but my 3do controllers didnt work on my genesis so I didnt knwo if they would go the other way aorund.
