No JUNGLE BEAT?!?! AAAAAHHH
VJ2 and not 1? Does not compute, 1 is the must own.
Definitely solid list other than th... wait... no MARIO SUNSHINE? NO PIKMINS? AAAAAH!
Metroid Prime 2 is also missing, but i'm assuming you just didn't like the original Metroid Prime. Come on man, it's so easy to figure out what's missing there, just scroll down the list of games at Gamefaqs or something.

Seriously? Replay value is there?

I owned it, lost somewhere. I should re-invest.

Started Mario Sunshine, didn't get far into it, much like Paper Mario. Should I retry it, because if its at all comparable to N64 ver, I'm so there. Pikmin is new to me.

Not a huge fan.

Yeah, but I don't trust numbers, I like to hear personal opinions. I've loved many "4"'s,"5"s & "6"s.

True, what I meant was use that to have a look at games you dont know about.
Jungle Beat has a huge amount of replayability if you're interested in exploring games and not just charging through them. There's a decent amount of levels but you can just walk through them fairly easily, the depth of the game comes with doing combos and exploiting the level design to get high scores to get the platinum medals (and well beyond), which is how you unlock later levels.
Pikmin is a MUST PLAY! The original has its charm but Pikmin 2 has a load more content plus an awesome 2P multiplayer mode.

Mario is 100% correct - I can't believe you don't have Sunshine, Jungle Beat and Pikmin 2. Those are three of my top 10 GameCube games - it would be a crime not to own them. You can get them all cheap too. I honestly can't understand all the hate that Sunshine got - the controls were tight, the gameplay was great and FLUDD is seriously underrated. Pikmin/2 are absolutely brilliant - it's the best new IP of last generation. And Jungle Beat is pure bliss.. Many reviews say it's short, but I don't think the reviewers got past the first boss. To actually finish the game, you need to put in a few more hours. Then after that, when you're a pro, stringing together combos and finding the best way through each level is a joy.
Hmm. Well, I'd add in Soul Calibur II, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, Burnout 2, Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Tales of Symphonia to the list. Even if you're not a big fan of RPGs, Tales is incredible, since it's very unorthodox - the battle system is in realtime. If you like wrestling games Day of Reckoning/2 are fun.
The only three games I'd give a pure 10 for this generation are F-Zero GX, SSBM and Pikmin 2. The second tier is Super Mario Sunshine and Eternal Darkness. Then after that you have the Metroid Primes, Wind Waker, Resident Evil 4 and Jungle Beat.

King Kong and Luigi's Mansion are both excellent games that got bad reviews because they're so short. Now that their prices match their lengths, I'd say they're worth picking up. Oh, did I mention King Kong was made by the same people that did Beyond Good and Evil?

Translation: The original has priceless, indescribable Miyamoto Magic, and the second one doesn't.... and, while my mind tells me that Pikmin 2 is the better game because of all the added content, deep down, my soul knows that the original is superior.
I'm pretty sure that's what Mario is saying, anyway. I haven't played much of the second game, so I can't be sure....

I've been looking for a while now for these types of games. The length of a game isn't of much use to me if I don't enjoy it. Any other recommendations for games which are great while they last but slipped through the cracks because they were too short?

You're missing a lot of stuff. Off the top of my head, I would recommend Beach Spikers, a Naruto game, Pac-Man Fever, and that one Pac-Man battle game where you plug in a GBA.

I second Beach Spikers.

I'd recommend getting these games that are cheap and short: Alien Hominid, Chibi-Robo, Cubivore, Ikaruga, Product Number 3, and Wave Race Blue Storm. They can be beaten quickly but they are fun to replay.

If you can find Beach Spikers cheap (which you can, I'm pretty sure it actually sold fairly well), definitely pick it up. For a long time it was the only Gamecube game I played.

Oh, and you need WWE Day of Reckoning 2.

where's Donkey Konga? Do not get Donkey Konga 2 unless you happen to like the pop/rock/r&b soundtrack. Better yet if you have a freeloader disc or u have a wii (disc ejecting method) you should import Donkey Konga 3 (although u can't save ).

Well, you can save in Donkey Konga if you have another memory card dedicated to Japanese games or maybe it's because my GC has a JPN/US switch. Anyway, I gave in and bought all Donkey Konga's today! (1, 2 and 3, Euro, US and Japanese versions!) I'm just missing the US version of the first one. So if anyone wants to sell it... (just the game, not the bongos)

you need starfox adventures. One of the most fun and best looking games on the cube.

Super Mario Sunshine sucks ass. (compared to other Mario games of course, on its own I guess it's okay.) You aren't missing anything by not having it, and if you never played it then you will live a longer life than those unlucky to have played it.

Starfox Adventures is one of the worst things you could do to yourself.

I would suggest trying out Second Sight, I picked it up for $9.99 a long time ago, but it turned out better than I thought it would.
But I also put a vote behind Burn Out 2, as I've had countless hours of replay on that game, especially in multi-player. I wonder why BO3 never made it to GC?
Soul Calibur II was also fun, but most fighting won't hold my interest for long if I have no one to play them with. This was one of those games.
SUPER: the Pac Man game your talking about is Pac Man Vs.

Lets see, I suggest Animal Crossing, Chibi Robo, Jungle Beat, Fire Emblem, Kururin Squash (If you don't mind importing), Zelda 4 swords adventures (especially if you have some GBAs), Luigi's Mansion, Double Dash, Prime 2, Viewtiful Joe, Second Sight, Soul Calibur 2, Mario Sunshine and Monkey Ball 1 and 2.
There are others but I'm not sure what you are really into. My list is here. Check it out, there might be other titles you are interested in that I haven't listed.

You should give pikmin 2 and Jungle beat a try. The 3 best GC games in my opinion were (in no particular order) Jungle Beat / Pikmin 2 / RE 4
All of them have good replay value, are challenging, and are very fun, not to mention well made. Then again I'm an odd ball, my favorite PS2 game is GOD HAND, and XBOX is Phantom Dust. But you should try those 2 out.
I also noticed you said you couldn't get into Paper Mario, if your not down with paper mario because its not conventional then you should try skies of arcadia, that game doesn't do anything really different but is solid.

It will own your soul.
