the difference is that they are not point A to point B games on training wheels

Instead the fighting games are "punch Character A a bunch until he falls down...then punch and kick Character B a bunch until he falls down...then punch....." and the rhythm games are "hit these buttons really fast in such and such order until mindless eurobeat is drilled in your mind forever..."

What I'm saying is that Nintendo's non-multiplayer core titles pretty much suck
